Family Law CLE: Beyond No Contact – Additional Relief Available in Orders for Protection
April 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Presenter: Shiloh Bute, Safety Project Staff Attorney, Tubman
While Orders for Protection provide survivors of domestic abuse much needed protection in the form of no contact from the Respondent, many times survivors need to access the additional relief offered by an Order for Protection to successfully leave an abusive relationship. Relief such as child custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, restitution, programming and firearms prohibitions can be vital to protect the safety and security of survivors and their children. This CLE will explore these different types of relief available and offer suggestions and strategies for achieving this additional relief.
