Ramsey County Bar Association Welcomes a New Leader

The Ramsey County Bar Association (RCBA) welcomes Thomas C. Plunkett as its incoming president for 2014-2015.

Mr. Plunkett is a solo practitioner in downtown Saint Paul where he focuses his practice in the areas of criminal defense in both state and federal court. He also practices in regulatory discipline.

Mr. Plunkett has been very active with the RCBA and has served on the Communications, Events Oversight, Families First, and Membership Committees along with volunteering for the Claire’s Court reading program. He has also worked with RCBA’s Fee Dispute Mediation. Mr. Plunkett is actively involved with many community organizations across Ramsey County. He serves on a panel for pro se litigations through the Ramsey County District Court and serves as a conflict panel attorney through the Federal Public Defenders Office. Mr. Plunkett also volunteers at Best Prep, Center for the Victims of Torture, Veteran Services, University of St. Thomas School of Law, American Mock Trial Association, and Hamline University.

Mr. Plunkett served on the RCBA Board of Directors from 2008-2011 and resumed his service in 2012.

Joining Mr. Plunkett will be President-Elect Kelly Olmstead, Vice President Brian McMahon, and Secretary/Treasurer Paul Peterson.
