Second Judicial District Centralized Process for Records Access and Retrieval

On May 1st, 2017, the DISTRICT COURT RECORDS location opened to the public and now assists customers with court records from the 2nd District. This office now provides a single location in the Ramsey County Courthouse for public access to court records, document copies and records assistance for all case types for the 2nd District.

In the courthouse, customers should go to Room 72 for use of public access terminals and all document copy requests for any case type. Public access terminals that were on the 1st, 6th and 9th floors were relocated to Room 72. Please note that some files are located offsite and will need to be ordered for viewing or copying.

Payment for copy fees may be made by cash, check, money order, Visa or MasterCard.

Agencies should continue to send requests via email to the above address. Requests designated for pick up will be available at the counter in Room 72 of the Courthouse.

Outside of the courthouse, in-person requests for records will continue to be serviced as they currently are at the Juvenile and Family Justice Center, the Law Enforcement Center and the Maplewood court location.

Customers should continue to contact the appropriate court division for questions on filing, current case information, hearings, expungements, and fine and fee payments. District Court Records can only assist customers with requests for court records.
